London has luggage storage offices at some major railway stations and bookable services in shops and hotels. Do not assume an Underground station has luggage lockers.

Luggage storage at railway stations and near the Underground
Some major railway stations have staffed offices operated by Excess Baggage Company. A shop advertised as “near the station” may be outside it: check the address, walking distance with bags and collection deadline.

Paddington Station
Useful for Heathrow connections or trains from Paddington. The storage office is beside platform 12; check access and collection arrangements before leaving your bags.
- Price: Get a quote per item and duration from Excess Baggage Company. A short-stay price is not a 24-hour price.
- Hours: Daily 07:00–23:00.
- Provider: Excess Baggage Company.

Victoria Station
Useful before a train to Gatwick. Distinguish the railway station from Victoria Coach Station and Green Line Coach Station: they are different locations.
- Price: Check the amount per item and duration with the operator; do not treat £6 as a guaranteed current fare.
- Hours: Network Rail lists 07:00–23:00 Monday to Friday. Confirm your date, particularly weekends and holidays; do not rely on midnight collection without confirmation.

King’s Cross Station and St Pancras International
These are separate stations with separate offices to check. Store bags near your onward departure, especially for Eurostar: allow time for collection, reaching the checks and meeting your ticket’s arrival requirements.
- Hours: Daily 07:00–23:00.
- Additional services: Check reservations and prices with the operator. Eurostar places the St Pancras office at the north end beside Boots. Booking ahead does not itself guarantee a discount.

Liverpool Street Station
Useful for Stansted connections or exploring east London.
- Price: Check the number of bags and exact hours with Excess Baggage Company. Its time-block prices are not interchangeable with a nearby shop’s rates.
- Hours: Check your date and leave collection time before your train. Station opening hours are not the storage office’s hours.
Luggage storage services with online booking
Alongside station offices, platforms let you book storage in shops, hotels and cafés around London. Stasher, LuggageHero and Radical Storage offer different locations and pricing models. Compare the options below:

Radical Storage
- Protection: The platform advertises a security guarantee. Check the limit, exclusions and any applicable charge in your booking; it is not unlimited cover for every item.
- Price: The London website advertises from £1.90 a day, depending on location, date and availability. Check the total before paying.
- Features: It advertises no size or weight limits. For unusual items, confirm acceptance and space with the location. Location counts and availability change; check current storage points.

Stasher
- Protection: Stasher’s guarantee has conditions. Check the limit and exclusions applicable to your booking; leaving a bag does not automatically cover cash, documents or electronics.
- Price: Advertised minimums from £1.49 per bag per day; rates depend on location and size. Check the total and cancellation policy with Stasher rather than assuming a fixed £0.99 fee.
- Advantage: Many locations near attractions and major stations including King’s Cross and Liverpool Street.

LuggageHero
- Protection: The London website advertises a basic guarantee of up to £500. Additional insurance is optional and costs extra; read the conditions before selecting it.
- Price: Hourly, daily and multiday rates vary by location. Include the mandatory service fee and any optional insurance you choose. See the official breakdown.
- Features: Choose the duration and location. Some points may open 24 hours, but check the booked location; 24/7 customer support does not mean 24/7 collection.

Nannybag
- Protection: Luggage protection is subject to conditions, applicable currency and exclusions. Check the limit for your booking rather than retaining £860 as a fixed current amount.
- Price: Check location, date and bags with Nannybag. Overnight storage does not mean you can collect while the business is closed.
- Advantage: Search for locations near attractions, museums and stations. Check the actual available address and collection hours, not just the advertised proximity.
Luggage storage at London airports
If you prefer to leave bags at the airport before visiting central London, check these options:

Heathrow Airport
- Provider: Excess Baggage Company.
- Location: Terminal halls in T2, T3, T4 and T5.
- Price: Check the amount per item and duration with Heathrow / Excess Baggage Company; do not rely on old tariffs.
- Hours: Confirm your terminal’s office and drop-off and collection times; do not assume all four terminals always share the same schedule.

Gatwick Airport
- Location: North and South terminals.
- Hours: The airport lists 04:00–22:00 in both terminals. Offices are before security: North Terminal level 1 beside Costa Coffee and South Terminal level 2 behind check-in zone E.
- Price: £10 for up to 3 hours or £15 for up to 24 hours according to Gatwick’s published tariff. Confirm when booking. These are staffed offices, not self-service lockers.

Stansted Airport
- Location: International arrivals area.
- Hours: Check the office and availability for your dates directly with Excess Baggage Company. Storage and lost property are different services.
- Price: Ask the operator for a quote by item, duration and luggage type; £7.50 should not be treated as a confirmed current fare.
Luggage storage discounts and promotions
Providers including LuggageHero, Stasher and Nannybag may have offers. Check them against your actual booking:
- LuggageHero: Check an active promotion and whether it also reduces fees; do not expect a free first hour unless shown in the booking.
- Nannybag: Use a code only if checkout accepts it, then check the final total; the old code’s validity has not been confirmed.
- Stasher: Request multiday pricing and check cancellation conditions; do not assume an automatic discount.
- Radical Storage: Compare your location and dates. Booking early helps check availability but does not guarantee a reduction.
Choose storage without a detour with your bags
- Ask your accommodation first: It may store bags before check-in or after checkout. Confirm cost, hours and conditions; not every property offers this.
- Choose for your onward departure: Paddington may suit Heathrow, Victoria Gatwick, Liverpool Street Stansted or Southend, and St Pancras Luton or Eurostar. Use the station on your actual itinerary.
- Check the exact address: A place advertised beside a station may be a shop several minutes from its entrance or your platform.
- Work backwards: Subtract time to the platform or stop, walking from storage and a collection margin from your transport departure. The collection deadline must allow that whole journey.
Compare the final price for the same hours and bags
Do not compare a small-backpack minimum with a large-suitcase price, or “per day” with a continuous 24 hours without checking billing rules. Include fees, extra protection and any new day triggered by collecting later.
Hypothetical example: two bags at £4 each plus £3 total fees cost £11. Another option at £5 per bag with everything included costs £10: it is £1 cheaper despite the higher advertised price per item. Add any extra transport or detour cost too.
Keep your confirmation, deposit identifier and location hours. Check late collection rules and prohibited items. Keep your passport and travel essentials with you; a commercial guarantee does not automatically cover every valuable item.
